What a shell scheme upgrade covers
The walls are already there, so the work is graphics, flooring, lighting and furniture. Full-height printed panels covering the shell walls are the single biggest change - they remove the grey and give you the whole wall rather than a pop-up banner in front of it.
Lighting is the most commonly skipped item and the most noticeable. Standard shell scheme lighting is flat and unflattering, and a small amount of added light changes how the stand photographs and how it reads from the aisle.
Getting the measurements right
Shell scheme systems are not identical between organisers, and panel dimensions vary. Graphics printed to the wrong spec either do not fit or leave visible gaps at the edges. We work from the specification for your actual show rather than a standard size, which is the whole difference between a clean finish and an obvious one.

What is the difference between shell scheme and space only?
Shell scheme means the organiser supplies a walled booth, usually with a name board, and you brand the inside. Space only means bare floor, and everything above it is yours to design, build and get approved. Shell scheme is cheaper and simpler; space only is the only route to a genuinely distinctive stand.
Can you make a shell scheme stand look custom?
Within limits, and better than most exhibitors expect. Full-height graphics, proper flooring, added lighting and considered furniture disguise most of what makes a shell scheme look standard. What you cannot change is the footprint and the basic shape.
